When you take your son or daughter in for help and they say they are over 18 and they have to be a d
danger to themselves or others for them to get help or they say well do you have guardianship. At a time when your loved one is mentally ill and can't make the decision that they need to be hospitalized. Who has time to get a lawyer to get guardianship. People who become mentally ill typically don't think they are sick.
