"Dual Diagnosis" is archaic terminology. "Co-Occurring Disorders" is more encompassing of the reality that many addicts have more than two diagnoses. We are responsible for not perpetuating terminology that has unfortunately become so ingrained in those who have not stayed current on developments in the field of addiction studies/treatment..
